Facebook's live streaming feature, which was limited to celebrities and then to other important individuals, can now be used by anyone. The feature, called Live, was introduced in August, but it was only offered to those with verified accounts for a while. Unlike similar services from Meerkat and Periscope, these videos can be saved indefinitely on Facebook once a stream is over.
When you start a stream, Facebook can send push notifications about it to those who've recently been interacting with your page. This ensures your stream is seen by as many people as possible.
Facebook Live also lets you live stream exclusively to friends and family rather than to everyone. Source: http://www.nextpowerup.com/
